Terms and Conditions of Service

1. Who we are

These Terms and Conditions of Service apply to services supplied by CALYPSO ADMISSIONS LTD, company number 17447642, registered office at 71 to 75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

Contact: b00803798@essec.edu

2. When these Terms apply

These Terms apply to admissions coaching, career coaching, tutoring, interview preparation, application support and related services purchased from Calypso.

The exact scope of the services will be set out in the package description, proposal, invoice or other written confirmation provided before services begin. Where there is any inconsistency, the more specific written description of the purchased package takes priority over these general Terms.

3. Students under 18

Where the student is under 18, the contract must be entered into by a parent or legal guardian. The parent or guardian is responsible for payment and authorises Calypso to provide the agreed services to the student.

Coaching is primarily conducted with the student. Calypso may communicate with the parent or guardian where reasonably necessary for scheduling, payment, safeguarding or the effective delivery of the agreed service.

4. Fees and payment

Fees are confirmed before purchase in the relevant proposal, package description or invoice. Unless otherwise stated, invoices are payable by bank transfer by the due date shown on the invoice.

Calypso may delay the start of services until payment has been received. Bank fees or transfer charges imposed by the client's bank are the client's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

5. Statutory cancellation rights

If you are a consumer and enter into the contract at a distance, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days without giving a reason.

If you ask Calypso to begin providing services before the end of that cancellation period, you expressly request that performance begins during the cancellation period. If you later cancel during that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for services already provided.

Where the agreed services have been fully performed during the cancellation period following the required express request and acknowledgement, the statutory cancellation right may end once performance has been completed.

Nothing in these Terms removes any cancellation or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

6. Session cancellation and rescheduling

Individual sessions may be rescheduled without charge where at least 24 hours' notice is provided.

A session cancelled, missed or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be treated as used, except where Calypso agrees otherwise in reasonable circumstances.

If Calypso needs to reschedule a session, an alternative time will be offered and the session will not be lost.

7. Package validity

Unless a package description expressly states otherwise, coaching packages are valid for six months from the date of the first scheduled session.

Unused sessions normally expire at the end of that six month period. Calypso may agree an extension in writing where circumstances reasonably justify it.

8. Refunds and continuation commitments

No special refund, continuation or outcome commitment applies unless it is expressly included in the written description of the package purchased.

Where a package expressly includes a continuation or refund commitment, the conditions stated in that package description form part of the contract and take priority over this general clause.

Any such commitment may depend on the student following the agreed preparation plan, respecting reasonable deadlines and completing the agreed application or recruiting process. Bank charges and third party fees are not refundable unless the written package terms state otherwise.

This clause does not affect statutory refund or cancellation rights.

9. Client responsibilities

The student and, where relevant, the contracting parent or guardian are responsible for providing accurate information, attending agreed sessions, completing reasonable preparation, respecting application and recruiting deadlines and reviewing final materials before submission.

The client remains responsible for checking official requirements and for the accuracy and truthfulness of information submitted to universities, employers and other organisations.

10. Academic and professional integrity

Calypso may help structure, review and improve application materials, but applications and interview answers must remain truthful and reflect the student's genuine experiences, views and achievements.

Calypso will not knowingly assist with fabricated experiences, false information, impersonation, dishonest academic work or material misrepresentation.

11. Networking, introductions and referrals

Where appropriate, Calypso may facilitate conversations, junior introductions, senior referrals or other connections within its network.

Any introduction is made at Calypso's discretion and depends on relevance, availability and the student's preparation and conduct.

An introduction or referral does not guarantee a response, interview, admission, internship or employment offer, and the person or organisation introduced is under no obligation to provide assistance.

12. No guarantee of admission or employment

Calypso provides coaching, preparation, guidance and support. Admissions, recruiting and employment decisions are made independently by universities, employers and other organisations.

Except where a specific written package expressly provides a separate continuation or refund commitment, Calypso does not guarantee admission, interview invitations, internship offers or employment.

13. Changes to admissions and recruiting processes

University requirements, admissions tests, deadlines, recruiting processes and employer policies can change. Calypso uses reasonable care to provide current information, but clients should also verify material requirements with the relevant university, employer or institution.

14. Calypso materials and intellectual property

Worksheets, technical materials, interview questions, frameworks, written guides and other materials supplied by Calypso are provided for the student's personal use.

They may not be sold, published, uploaded publicly, commercially redistributed or shared systematically with third parties without prior written permission from Calypso.

Students may keep and use their materials personally after the programme ends.

15. Confidentiality and personal data

Calypso treats information shared during the coaching relationship with appropriate discretion. Where another coach, professional or network contact is involved, Calypso will only share information reasonably necessary for the relevant session, introduction or support.

Personal data is handled in accordance with the Calypso Privacy Policy.

16. Other coaches and professionals

Calypso may allocate sessions or specific parts of a programme to members of the Calypso team or selected professionals where their expertise is relevant to the student's objectives.

The allocation of a particular coach may depend on availability, specialism and the agreed package.

17. Complaints

If you are dissatisfied with the service, please contact b00803798@essec.edu with details of the issue. Calypso will aim to review the complaint and respond within 14 days.

18. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it cannot legally be limited or excluded.

Subject to applicable consumer law, Calypso is not responsible for decisions made independently by universities, employers or third parties, or for loss caused by materially inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the client.

19. Events outside reasonable control

Calypso is not responsible for delay or failure caused by events reasonably outside its control. Where such an event affects a scheduled session, Calypso will make reasonable efforts to reschedule or provide an appropriate alternative.

20. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident outside England and Wales, this does not remove any mandatory consumer protections or rights that apply to you under the laws of your country of residence.
